ABOUT

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

My belief is that the therapeutic relationship works best as a genuine, authentic relationship. My style is very warm, compassionate, and direct. I use a collaborative approach and work with each client individually to set goals, develop the skills to meet those goals, and ultimately live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

EXPERIENCE

I received my Doctorate of Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where I developed a strong background in health psychology and evidenced-based practices. My program specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety disorders and I received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during a two-year training placement working with individuals with chronic health issues, long-term depression, and borderline personality disorder. I received specialty training working with the university population during my internship at University at Buffalo Counseling Services. As a post-doctoral fellow at Stony Brook University Mind-Body Clinical Research Center, I further advanced my clinical training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and stress management and resilience training. The therapy I provide is an integration of CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based on your presenting concerns. My areas of specialty include working with individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), chronic illnesses, women’s health issues, and adjustment-related issues,
